Minimum Rental Period - 7 Nights, 10 nights for Unlimited Miles and 12 nights for the All Inclusive Pack.

  You only need to take the insurance for the days that you will be in Mexico.

Prep Fee:
Mandatory USD $189 per vehicle at all locations. Prep fee includes: Thorough hygienic cleaning and disinfection of vehicle and regular branch sanitization, supply of toilet chemicals and tissue, full fresh water tank, fresh water hose and waste water hose, instruction manual, personal instruction on use of motor home and appliances, campground guides and maps, and external cleaning upon return.
 

All-Inclusive Package can be combined with the LTD discount.

Transfers:
Transfers are no longer provided by El Monte or Mighty Campers.

New Jersey State Rental Security Fee:
USD $5 per night (maximum USD $140) applies to all Pick ups at New York City.

Priority A.M. Departure (PAD) Program:

• PAD locations: Restricted to the following location: Vancouver / Bellingham.
• Hotel restrictions: PAD is restricted solely to those hotels designated as PAD hotels mentioned in the Transfer Information Area.
• Note: PAD does not include the Standard Transfer Fee. Clients will still need to pay this transfer fee.
• Hotel notification: Client or agent must inform El Monte RV of PAD hotel no fewer than 7 days prior to vehicle takeover date. If you fail to notify less than 7 days prior to takeover, client will either have to accept standard transfer, or provide their own transfer at their own cost. No Exceptions.
• Contact numbers: PAD Transfer instructions. A pre-recorded message is available at 1-800-337-2199* which instructs at what time and at which entrance clients should wait for transfer shuttle: It is recommended that clients also call 1-800-367-6507* the day before motor home takeover to confirm pick up time and hotel entrance.
• Transfer time: PAD Shuttle generally arrives between 7:15 am - 8:00. PAD transfer may begin as early as 6:45 am. Therefore, it is necessary that clients call 1-800-337-2199 beforehand for exact times.
• PAD surcharge: This option guarantees a departure-ready motor home by 11 am. PAD surcharge is USD $295 per motorhome rental. Please indicate PAD hotel at time of booking. There are no refunds for PAD surcharge if we do not receive PAD hotel information 7 days prior to pick up. No exceptions.

Taxes:
Tax is applicable on all charges. The pick up location determines the tax amount as follows:

Import / Export Fee:
We try to confirm all One-way requests. However, there are times when the direction of the drop or time of year does not make sense in terms of fleet utilization. Therefore, El Monte RV will consider accepting a specific one-way request for the standard one-way fee PLUS up to an additional $3,000 to import or export the motor home to or from the location needed.
 
Security Deposit:

• A USD $1,500 security deposit is required at the time of departure
• We require that the deposit be guaranteed by a major non-debit credit card such as Visa, MasterCard or American Express with sufficient credit balance to cover this amount
• We do not accept ATM/debit cards such as Check Cards, Visa debit cards or pre-paid credit cards - We do not accept Cash or Traveler’s Checks, Stored Value/Pre-paid cards or gift cards
• The security deposit is not charged on the customer’s credit card on pick-up, but rather the amount is ‘held’ in the form of an authorization; Upon return, provided that the rental vehicle is returned clean inside, undamaged and on time with any fines paid this ‘hold’ is removed.

  

Flex Rates:
Elmonte's Daily Rental Rates are know as 'Flex Rates' . These give you the very best available price for the motorhome you want to rent. If you book early and there are plenty of motorhomes available, you will pay a much lower price. If you book closer to departure date or book for a high demand period then the rate will be higher. This is a similar system to that used by airlines.

No mileage is included in the Flex rates. Choose from the available mileage options above. Once booked and confirmed, should you need to change, the rate will be re-calculated using the most current Flex rate and compared to the existing flex rate. The higher rate will prevai. Changing party size or adding pre-paid items does not consitute a change. Flex rate valid for maximum 35 days and on day 36 a new Flex rate will apply.

Location closing dates are subject to change.

Pick Up Times:
After 1:00pm. You must call the depot the day prior or the morning of pick up to confirm the time that your vehicle will be ready for collection.

Drop Off Times:
Drop off takes place between 8:00am and 11:00am. Fees apply for drop off after 11:00am.

American Public Holidays:
Recommendation: Due to heightened volumes of travel during holiday seasons we recommend that customers avoid beginning or ending their motorhome rental on the day immediately before or after a holiday date. Otherwise, customers may experience airline delays, increased road traffic and possible delays at rental office.

All stations are closed for the following holidays. No bookings will be accepted for pick up or return on
these dates. No exceptions.

Shortening of Rental Period:
If a renter shortens their hire period by more than a week - it may be treated as a cancellation of the whole booking and a re-booking. This depends on when the amendment takes place and how many days of hire are being cancelled. Please ensure you always have travel insurance in place.

Cancellation and Amendment Fees:
Amendment Fee: 1st amendment is free, USD $50 fee applies for each thereafter

- Over 60 calendar days prior to departure: USD $200
- 59 to 30 calendar days prior to rental date 20% of the nightly rental charge minus any applied discount plus one-way fee if applicable
- 29 to 15 calendar days prior to rental date 50% of the nightly rental charge minus any applied discount plus one-way fee if applicable
- 14 to 05 calendar days prior to rental date 100% of the nightly rental charge minus any applied discount plus one-way fee if applicable
- 04 to 00 calendar days prior to rental date 100% of the nightly rental charge minus any applied discount and “no show” plus season surcharge plus preparation fee plus one-way fee if applicable

* If a client declines the vehicle at departure, this is classified as a 'Departure Day' and client is not eligible to receive a refund.
